Baja Bob, as we call him, started his mission to serve the poor and reach the lost 20 years ago, leading teams into Mexico to build houses, schools, churches and orphanages. Bob Sanders, the founder of Baja Christian Ministries, has now built thousands of homes, established pastors, built churches and led many into a relationship with our Creator, Jesus Christ.

Not only is the project about building houses, it’s about building new communities with strong leaders to take care of the ongoing needs of families and their children in the future.

The Rock, led by Anthony Walton, is a contemporary church based in Wellington, New Zealand. Anthony is the connection that has helped to take these achievements to a new level. Joining forces with Baja Bob, Anthony Walton began bringing his teams from halfway around the globe to fund and build houses.

Because of Anthony’s long-term friendship with Newsboys, he introduced Baja Bob to Peter Furler, which resulted in Newsboys building a house.

The day before their annual four day motocross trip across the Baja deserts and mountains, they built a home for a solo mother with five kids, whose husband was in prison for murdering their friends.

Newsboys then introduced TeenMania into the mix and helped initiate the recent Baja 1000, where over one thousand youth, contractors and leaders built 26 homes in a week.

Now Global Tribe, led by Anthony Walton, supported by Newsboys, in partnership with Baja Bob, has initiated plans to build a new Mexican village every year, complete with churches, schools and orphanages where needed.

MEET GLOBAL TRIBE!

At Global Tribe our goal is to accomplish three main things:

RESCUE THOSE IN PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL POVERTY. Much of our work is in Baja, Mexico, where Global Tribe provides aid for people living below the poverty level—often making less than $2.50 a day. Families have no homes. Parents cannot support their children. They starve physically and spiritually. We help provide food and shelter, and work with local ministries to make disciples.

REACH COMMUNITIES WITH THE GOSPEL through the platform of newsboys with exciting events like this one. In cities across America and beyond, we work with churches, local businessmen, Christian radio, and community leaders to bring in a free concert so you can invite friends, family, business associates, and people in the community to hear the Gospel in a fun, non-threatening environment—united we Go and make disciples. Reach unites the body—people, churches, local ministries, for a single purpose—to impact their city—TOGETHER.

RECRUIT AND EMPOWER YOUNG LEADERS. With the resources at our disposal, we work to mobilize, empower, inspire, and equip emerging Christian leaders to carry on with innovative ministry opportunities. We provide creative concepts for ministry and mentor, equip, and inspire upcoming leaders for future generations.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS GLOBAL TRIBE

We are in Baja Mexico—building homes, clinics, and schools; reaching communities with the Gospel, and providing biblical foundations for new believers through the Purple Book. We are in India, meeting the needs of children in poverty through the Global Tribe Children's Home and School, meeting the physical and spiritual and educational needs of those God sends to us. We are in Fiji, providing a generator to a medical clinic, and we are in Haiti feeding children.

Goal Number One
Send Global Tribe teams from around the world to connect with and serve those trapped in physical and spiritual poverty by -

• Supplying Humanitarian Aid
• Reaching 100 million college students throughout China with culture impacting concerts
• Building homes and lives in Latin America - constructing communities including schools, churches and orphanages.

Goal Number Two
Host 30+ REACH events across America in 2009

Goal Number Three
Raise an army of 10,000 financial supporters, each giving $1 a day to build houses, change lives and impact communities, and to provide support for REACH events nationwide.
